Fêtes sans stresse: What Children Can Teach Us

Quel joie, les fêtes! What joy it is to celebrate! But how easy it is to let stress sully our holiday preparations. As a mama of young children, I am reminded of a few tips little ones can offer us during the holidays:

Aim to bless, not to impress. The heart of hospitality lies in our motives. Our homes, menus, and gifts don't need to be perfect, just purposeful. Rather than having rigid expectations or being consumed with details, young children simply delight in being with family and friends.

Take naps. Sleep doesn't change our circumstances, but it definitely freshens our perspective.

Play outside. Yes, winter days are dark and cold, but nature's beauty is year-round.

This last week we enjoyed some vacation time in central Oregon, and I'm happy to share some photos of its beauty with you. I wish you a joyful Thanksgiving!
